Neutrogena ultra sheer dry touch sunblock spf 50+ review

Hey beauties,

The importance of Sunscreen needs no explanation, as a side effect of we all using technology too much, we humans have lost ozone protection and now need protection directly in skin to avoid issues starting from sunburn to all other skin problems. I like tinted lotus sunscreen in regular non summer or less hot days. And Neutrogena spf 50 for summer.

Other Tips for this product:

  • Its a great product for the price, I have heard only good reviews about it and I personally have benefited a lot form this
  • However this product din’t stop my hands from tanning. I tend to tan faster in hands and feet and only covering with cloth has worked for that concern.

Aroma magic – Beautiful skin oil review

Hi

Today am reviewing Beautiful skin oil which should be used similar to serum in skin care routine. If you are keen in not using chemicals and wanting to go natural see the details below and decide if this could be for you.

Price:  Rs. 250/-

Quantity: 15 ml

Aroma magic Beautiful skin oil review, Ingredients and information

Plus:

  • Skin feels very moisturized when applied
  • Extremely relaxing (I can’t stress that enough)
  • Totally natural ingredients
  • Pure essential oils are in itself known for skin benefits and this is a combination of few which is a added advantage
  • Product makes skin slightly healthier (texture vice not color vice)
  • Doesn’t break out or irritate skin
  • Convenient and hygienic packing

Minus:

  • Product is oil mixture so makes the outside of bottle little slippery
  • Did not notice any firming or complexion change
  • The bottle gets a bit greasy over time
  • Not travel friendly, it leaked when I traveled (But product doesn’t leak under normal circumstance).

Other Tips for this product:

  • Some essential oils can irritate while exposed to sun, that is the reason they are packed in darker bottles to reduce light penetration trough them. So I too avoid to use it in day time.
  • When applied over night, it makes skin appear healthier. I can see my face more fresh the next day.
  • Smell the product before you buy, do not buy if you dislike the smell.

About me repurchasing?: YES!! YES!! I love the smell of the oil. Its divine 😀

May be it works for me since I like the smell more.

This product for me is a mood lifter. Sometimes, I stop all other skin care that has chemicals like a break and use just this for a week once in a while when I know I will be indoor that time. This can be recommended to people who do not have any skin care routine as of now and can start a night time skin care.

Products that are always repurchased by me

Hey beauties,

In this post I will be telling you about the products that I always repurchase once its over. Some are the ones we buy in medical shops, however meant for skin benefits or problems.

I have normal skin which gets slightly combination to oily when I use rich creams and dry when I don’t apply any. A light cream may dry if the weather is cold. I guess you get the idea.

  1. Coconut oil – Not just for hair but also for skin (I use when I run out of makeup removers or for removing long wearing makeup products. I also use it as a moisturizer sometimes in winter and it does wonders

    Coconut oil

    Coconut oil

  2. Vaseline – Again Vaseline is pretty underused in my opinion, people buy petroleum jelly based lip balms giving 10 times the money instead of getting the basic one. And all the expensive one offers is a good smell and flavor which actually adds no benefit and in-fact harmful in long run

    Vaseline

    Vaseline

  3. Nivea the basic cream – I always have this too just because my dermatologist recommended me to use this on dry areas and said this is a safe non harmful moisturizing cream. I use this  also as foot cream and hand cream. Again I forget to use it daily but the result is good when I use it daily IMG_0256
  4. Boroline – This is a very old cream from our own country which is again not well used by us(Including me). However this works amazing on extreme dry lip. Massaging a small amount in lip heals it completely and the next day its awesome for any lip look you choose.

    Boroline

    Boroline

  5. Vicco turmeric (Nahi cosmetic :P) This is good for combination and oily skin you guys and controls acne. My skin is not acne prone and I don’t use this often. I have seen oily skin people use it and benefited lots from this cream.
    Vicco Turmeric cream

    Vicco Turmeric cream

    Vicco Turmeric cream

    Vicco Turmeric cream

  6. Calamine based lotion – I switch between few calamine lotions available but I always have one, you can use when you develop any kind of rash due to environment, pollution or basically any skin irritation on minor level

The above are the utility based important products for your skin.

For hair if you want to go on budget use egg in hair and steam it if you have a steamer else put a towel in hot water squeeze it a little and wrap it on your hair with egg. As it is quite tiring I do it only when my hair feels really bad else I just use olive oil over night.

If your in India the above products will help you a lot one time or the other and they are not super expensive. Do try out the one which you think will help you most and reply in the comment section below.

Basic Skin care – Must knows!!

Hi beautiful people,

The internet offers loads of information which can be confusing and sound demanding to invest a huge amount in skincare and makeup. We do not need to spend more to get a good skin is the undeniable truth.

I am going to give you an idea of how you can plan and care at different budgets. I am not going to specifically name any product. This blog is just to guide you for smarter purchase suitable to your budget.

As you all might have already known(I presume) the basic steps for skin care is to Cleanse, tone and moisturize(CTM regime) twice a day and to use sunscreen when you are exposed to sunlight.

The cheapest available Products that will suit all skin types are:

  • Face wash or soap – A gentle soap which says ph balance is a good option
  • Toner – Normal food grade rose water is best although affordable
  • Moisturize – Coconut oil(Or any natural oil in thin consistency) is good for dry skin, oily skin can go for Aleo Vera gel

The industry offers many products in different price ranges. Choose one that suits your budget. The above will not cost you more than few hundreds a month.

If you are someone who can spend few more hundreds or in thousands you can extend a little more on products but do not overload your skin with too many products.

So few more steps that can be added for more beautiful skin is Serum(Between the toner and moisturizer), serums are generally expensive but you can choose wisely which could be your best fit and buy. Since they are usually very rich you only need few drops hence it will last longer.

  • If your age is below 18 – CTM regime is good enough, prefer to use natural ingredient products
  • Age 18 to 24 – There is no need for you to use any serum how ever you can start using a good eye-cream with basic protection and moisturizing property.
  • If your age is 25 – 28 – You can start using a protecting serum, do not go for serums that are meant for anti aging. See for terms like hydrating, balanced, glowing and brightening in products claims.
  •  Above 28 – This is a period when your skin starts to age, for some its fast and for others aging starts to show only in mid thirties. To best understand where you might be have a look at your parents photographs at your age.

Broad classification of skin type:

  • Dry
  • Combination
  • Oily

Dry skin people must use a very gentle cleanser preferably milk based. Cleanser can be cream based than a foaming one. The toner they use should be hydrating and balancing. Rose, cucumber based are good common options and Alcohol is a big No. So do check the ingredients. Moisturize should be in cream form and thicker consistency for prolonged result.

Combination skin people must user a mild lathering face wash. This skin type is quite tricky to live with because of limited products in market for this particular skin. You can even use two different face wash in different areas of skin, it does work if chosen correctly. Toner should not have oil in it. It needs to only balance the skin Ph. To moisturize use a product in a very runny thin(Lotion like) consistency

Oily skinned people should use a product that lathers a lot. Foaming oil removing face wash followed by toners based on lemon, tea tree is ideal. You must be super careful while choosing moisturizer cause even oily skin needs 3rd step care but use products that helps to mattify which are gel and water based.

Exfoliating is a must for once in a week. Again choose according to your skin type. Gel based exfoliaters are best for oily where as granular mildly coarse ones are good for dry skins.

Remember to spend wisely and let me know what your current makeup skin care routines is and how it works for you.
